Our organization is involved in numerous projects that are looking for all kinds of volunteers
Medical Volunteers
With our newly established hospital, we are looking for any medical volunteers who are willing to come work train and work alongside our local doctors. We are in need of training in modern medical practices and would appreciate any guidance we can get. We are in need of those who are medically trained, but we are also looking for people who just want experience volunteering in a hospital who can work as administrators. We have built brand new volunteer housing within the hospital compound. All your accommodation and meals will be provided during your stay.
Women empowerment and self sufficiency Training
One of our most recent projects has been to establish a vocational skills training center where our mothers can come learn valuable skills that can help them acquire a job. At this center we teach tailoring and sewing, craft making, and how to rear animals. With terrible poverty levels and limited education, women in Uganda lack the necessary skills to live sufficiently and earn enough money to support their families. We are looking for any volunteers willing to come work and train amongst these women and share any knowledge and skills you have.
Teachers and educators
For those wishing to get teaching experience, we are in need of volunteers who can teach English, art, mathematics, or any other subject you feel a desire to share with others. We have a school for children as well as workshops for our mothers. The women in our organization struggle with heavy workloads and family burdens. These immense responsibilities have resulted in low education and literacy levels for our mothers. The aim of The Mothers of Good Hope is to provide opportunities for women to improve their situations and we believe one of the best ways to help them is providing education opportunities so that they can use this knowledge to find work and provide for themselves.
The "i will do anything to help" volunteer
Expertise or not, we welcome anyone who has a heart for those in need. There will always be a place here for people who share our values for caring for the needy and giving a voice to the unheard and suffering. We have many ongoing projects that just need hands and new ideas. We are also more than willing to brainstorm and initiate any new projects you think could be beneficial to our organization. If you are wanting to come to Uganda and stay with us, we are excited to both share our culture and traditions with you and also learn all about yours. There will always be space for you to come live with us and we will provide to you accommodation and meals.
