Tailoring
One of the original mothers within the organization was taught to sew and make dresses so we were able to first introduce a course in learning the art of tailoring and sewing. Knowing how to make clothing is a valuable skill that the mothers in our organization and beyond can benefit greatly from. Clothing making is an essential and lucrative business in Uganda so with these skills, we hope to provide our mothers with the necessary means to start her own small business of making and mending clothing.
We have limited resources to use in training and sewing machines are expensive to acquire for personal use after finishing the course.
We are always looking for well wishers who woud like to supply one of our mothers with her own sewing machine so that she may be able to make clothing for her community and may be able to support herself and her family.
